Readius is the first rollable display

Readius is obviously the first device which could change the future of mass media. It allows people to read newspapers in the street, to download contents and to pay, all that operations being easily done with this all-in-one device.

Telecom Italia, as first mover in Europe, has concluded an alliance to cross this technology with its mobile network.

Readius was created by Polymer Vision, a dutch company spin-out from Philips.

The characteristics of Polymer Vision's rollable display technology are:
- Fully rollable to the thickness of a finger
- Low power: no power required to maintain the image on the display
- Light weight
- Robust, unbreakable
- Enabling revolutionary product designs and form factors

Acceso Group (Spain) extends its partnership in Europe with Zinio

Today, Zinio LLC, the leading online publishing, distribution and retail services company, announced two pivotal initiatives today; the launch of an online Global Newsstand; and a partnership spanning Europe and Latin America with Acceso Group, a company part-owned by both Havas Media - the media division of Havas, one of the largest communication and advertising groups worldwide - and ISP. Zinio’s new global initiative provides publishers increased reach and introduces more variety for consumers with an expanded selection of magazine titles and a choice between online or offline reading capabilities.

New generation of blogging platforms

The most well-known kind of weblogs is the personal journal. Obviously, several millions of users have choosen this new media to post their news, to share experience and a similar way of life. In the meantime, companies are more and more using blogs as website. The interest is to have communication tools more easily to update and, in many case, developped inside the company. More efficient, more convenient !

But blogging platforms are also used by marketing teams for branding strategies. The last application is in France the new website from the designer, Thierry Mugler, powered by blogSpirit. Proud to be promoted "VIP blogger"

Since yesterday, my blog is integrated on the portal of Sony Vaio, which created an international community of users called "V-Generation". I have the chance to be promoted Vaio Heroe, as VIP blogger on this community.

It is really a pleasure for me, because most of you know how much I consider the brand Sony Vaio and the quality of its electronic devices.

Thanks a lot to Nico Henderijckx for accepting my application as Vaio Heroe. Nico is leading the Business Development, Strategic Alliances, CRM and Community Marketing inside Sony VAIO of Europe Marketing.

Brands test new approach for online marketing

A few months ago, large brands such as Dell or Ratp (one of the biggest public company in France) have been revealing their new strategy to communicate with their customers. Those plans are based on a new online service allowing all of us to post an idea for a new product or service. It's not necesary to be accreditaded before.

Obviously, blogging platforms are used to host the service, because this technology is more efficient than others one to allow two-ways communications between brands and customers.

The service for Ratp is called "Vous et la RATP" ; in the other side, Dell created "Dell ideas storm". 

What are the results at this date ?  The Dell Community has contributed: 7.441 ideas, promoted 522.724 times, generating 46.002 comment. More than we could imagine before launching the service.

The fact is that today Sarkozy's Government decides to renew this approach for the environment summit called "Grenelle de l'environnement". The project is : people post an idea, readers vote for the best ideas, best projects will be present during the summit.

Blogs tools are powerful to explore new marketing ways !
