New generation of blogging platforms

The most well-known kind of weblogs is the personal journal. Obviously, several millions of users have choosen this new media to post their news, to share experience and a similar way of life. In the meantime, companies are more and more using blogs as website. The interest is to have communication tools more easily to update and, in many case, developped inside the company. More efficient, more convenient !

But blogging platforms are also used by marketing teams for branding strategies. The last application is in France the new website from the designer, Thierry Mugler, powered by blogSpirit. Business in Milan

Good journey in Italy, with my colleagues Philippe and Emanuele. Having several meetings with our business network (Telecom Italia, Ulysse). First visit of the Maison de la région Languedoc-Roussillon, via San Giovanni sul Muro !

Proud to be promoted "VIP blogger"

Since yesterday, my blog is integrated on the portal of Sony Vaio, which created an international community of users called "V-Generation". I have the chance to be promoted Vaio Heroe, as VIP blogger on this community.

It is really a pleasure for me, because most of you know how much I consider the brand Sony Vaio and the quality of its electronic devices.

Thanks a lot to Nico Henderijckx for accepting my application as Vaio Heroe. Nico is leading the Business Development, Strategic Alliances, CRM and Community Marketing inside Sony VAIO of Europe Marketing.

Brands test new approach for online marketing

A few months ago, large brands such as Dell or Ratp (one of the biggest public company in France) have been revealing their new strategy to communicate with their customers. Those plans are based on a new online service allowing all of us to post an idea for a new product or service. It's not necesary to be accreditaded before.

Obviously, blogging platforms are used to host the service, because this technology is more efficient than others one to allow two-ways communications between brands and customers.

The service for Ratp is called "Vous et la RATP" ; in the other side, Dell created "Dell ideas storm". 

What are the results at this date ?  The Dell Community has contributed: 7.441 ideas, promoted 522.724 times, generating 46.002 comment. More than we could imagine before launching the service.

The fact is that today Sarkozy's Government decides to renew this approach for the environment summit called "Grenelle de l'environnement". The project is : people post an idea, readers vote for the best ideas, best projects will be present during the summit.

Blogs tools are powerful to explore new marketing ways !

Success stories

I have the chance to fly every week in several countries in Europe and to meet entrepreneurs leading very interesting business (or to be connected to them through the word-of-mouth).

Yesterday, two firms kept my attention. 

The first is a Scottish company : Mobiqa are the world leaders in mobile ticketing and mobile couponing solutions based on the creation, delivery and redemption of barcodes to mobile phones. Incredible to imagine that for fly we will have in a few months an e-ticket embedded on our mobile phone ! No doubt : it's the future. And for me the best solution to save time.

The second company is GTD Sistemas de Informacion in Barcelona. Its job : engineering in critical and real time computerized systems.  I was really impressed by the carismatic CEO of GTD : Angel Ramirez. Ariane 5 and Vega Launcher are using its software to go in space. Good business for specialists.

The proof that SME may be very creative and innovative, also revealing a potential of growth international very high.
